As a consultant in the highly specialized hospitality industry, C&A's role is to advise ownership and/or management on strategies that will ultimately contribute to improved revenue and profit. C&A believes that, in order for this strategy to best unfold, we must follow a process that enables us to learn about the specifics of your situation before making recommendations. In a consulting relationship with Cutting & Associates, ownership and/or management can expect the following process:

 Observation

Before forging ahead with ready-made solutions, we believe that we must first understand the issues at hand. While ownership and management will undoubtedly inform C&A as to their understanding of the issues, it is critical that C&A be able to formulate its own assessment. Through detailed, yet prompt observation of the areas of concern, C&A will be best equipped to develop a strategy to address these concerns.

Formulation

C&A is responsible for the formulation of strategies designed to address the specific issues identified by ownership & management. Depending upon the nature of the consulting relationship, the formulation of such strategies may occur on a project-by-project basis, or may occur on a more regularly scheduled basis. In either case, it is our responsibility, which we take most seriously, to provide solutions to the business challenges presented by ownership & management.

Recommendation

Once sufficient observation has taken place, allowing for the formulation of specific strategies, C&A's role is to recommend the most effective and direct form of action in order to address those concerns first raised by ownership & management. In the event that multiple strategies are offered, C&A will prioritize these strategies for ownership; that is, which strategy should be employed first, which second, etc., in order to ensure the most expeditious and results-oriented course of action.

Implementation

In its consulting relationships with owners and management entities, Cutting & Associates seeks to be responsible for the implementation of the strategies and concepts that it has recommended. This is not because we can do this better than ownership & management, but rather, because ownership & management have many other responsibilities to fulfill, while C&A is a specialist focused on specific issues and measurable solutions.

Measurement

All strategies recommended and/or implemented by Cutting & Associates include precise, objective tools for the measurement of their ultimate achievement. C&A prides itself on its experience and its back-to-basics, results oriented approach.  C&A provides the tools, which allow ownership and management the ability to measure and track results.
