Phil Cutting, a Certified Hotel Administrator, serves as the Managing Member of Cutting & Associates, LLC.  We are focused on providing the hospitality industry with tightly targeted services which include business consulting, property management, strategic planning, problem resolution services and effective sales and marketing programs. Most recently Phil has provided consulting and development services to owners and operators of a number of properties, including the LA Marriott, Royal Palms Hotel Miami, Pacific Hospitality Group, Horizon Hotels, La Avenida Inn Coronado, Barger Companies, Hebrank Consulting, The Management Group and the Aqua Caliente Tribe.

As Managing Director of the Douglas Wilson Companies, Phil provided direct oversight and management for large, complex projects requiring multiple professional disciplines and the integration of legal and technical consultants.  Projects he directed included: leading an executive team in the take over and management of a multifaceted Michigan resort consisting of three hotels, four golf courses and two ski mountains; supervising the restructuring of the 3,600 acre Dillingham Ranch Resort on Oahu; managing and liquidating a 200 million dollar a year cheese manufacturing company; unraveling a 56 million dollar inventory bank fraud; overseeing a forensic investigation into a  partnership dispute with assets in five states; heading a management and construction team in the operation and repair of a landslide damaged coastal golf course; and spearheading a remediation team in the re-construction of two California earthquake damaged office complexes.

As Chief Operating Officer, Phil led and directed a team of real estate professionals from 1995 to 2001.  He also managed a wide range of consulting and corporate real estate services to clients including the identification and retention of consultants, contractors and property managers for over 170 projects with an asset value of approximately $1.8 billion.  He directed management and consulting services for 50 hotels, 54 multi-family or residential housing projects, 26 shopping centers, 34 office buildings, 6 industrial projects and various other product types such as resorts, time shares, restaurants, golf clubs and marinas. 

Mr. Cutting was a founding partner in and served as President of C/W Hospitality Group. from 1990 to 1995. In his position as President, he directed a full range of hospitality management, consulting and real estate services. 

Prior to founding C/W Hospitality Group, Phil spent over twenty years managing, renovating and building hotels for the Sheraton Corporation.
